These  hand thrown berry bowls (colanders) are specifically designed for washing and serving or storing up to a quart of berries, cherries, cherry tomatoes, grapes or other small fruit. These berry colanders come with a liner dish to catch excess water after washing the fruit.  This helps keep the fruit fresh while maintaining a dry table or counter.

Each  of the handmade pottery berry colanders are individually handthrown and unique in size and shape. Therefore, the colander you order will not be exactly like the one you see.

These larger handmade stoneware colanders are designed for washing and draining larger items(including pasta) and do not include a drainage dish.  An appropriate drainage dish would be the dessert plate available on the "Plate" page.
